Overview
GC coated parts (VGI) are graphite materials, where the surface of the graphite base material is impregnated with glassy carbon. Compared to normal graphite materials, the emission of graphite dust is greatly reduced and other properties as great wear resistance have been added.
Characteristics
The glassy carbon is not only covering the surface of the base material, the impregnation goes deep into the material, which provides a great anchor effect; even repeated heating up and cooling down does not lead to peeling-off or cracks; a product with a long lifespan has been created.
Dust production during usage is supressed.
Inertness towards metals and other materials has been increased.
Adsorption and emission of gas impurities have been reduced.
Due to high purity, metal impurities are extremely low.
Any format is supported, the dimensional accuracy has no variation.
